Hello to all our wonderful customers!

We thought we would use this month’s blog to send out an update on what we have been doing at Emerald Lawns. We are proud to announce we are a part of some great organizations for the holidays to give back to those in our community who need it most.

KLBJ NewsRadio: Operation Thank You

Operation Thank You is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that raises funds for Austin-area military families in medical crisis. All proceeds benefit The Fisher House Foundation, a network of homes where military and veterans’ families can stay at no cost while their loved ones undergo medical treatment. We are proud to be a participating sponsor to help support the brave men and women who sacrifice so much to keep our country safe.

KLBJ NewsRadio: Chuy’s Children’s Parade

Emerald Lawns is also a proud sponsor of the 28th Annual Chuy’s Children’s Parade, which is held to support the efforts of Operation Blue Santa where kiddos can donate new, unwrapped toys for other children who need them most. It is open to the public and includes giant inflatable balloons, marching bands, cool classic cars, festive holiday floats, and even Santa in the parade! It’s one day only this Saturday, November 26th, 2016 at 11 a.m. and starts at the State Capitol at 11th and Congress! For more information, visit Chuy’s Parade.

KOKE-FM: Operation Blue Santa

Operation Blue Santa is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that helps provide food and gifts for the families of fallen police officers in the Austin area. It began in 1972 when two APD patrol officers realized some families in their area would not have gifts or food for Christmas Day. The operation began with 20 families in the back of an APD patrol car and now serves more than 6,000 households and over 15,000 children. Emerald Lawns is a proud supporter of this cause and is a participating sponsor for the 2016 holiday season. For more information on how you can help, visit Blue Santa.

RJF Team Cares

RJF Team Cares (RJF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that Emerald Lawns supports all year long. RJF’s main mission is to support their local community by giving back to those who need it most. The RJF Team Cares initiative pledges to give a cash donation to a local charity, church or family in need. The nominees are selected every other month by votes collected from the local community and supporters. Emerald Lawns is an ongoing supporter and sponsor for this cause throughout the year, and our co-owner, Luke Hawthorne, is a board member of the foundation.

New webisodes: coming soon!

We are also excited to announce that we will release a new series of webisodes in the next few weeks. Our first series consisted of short videos which focused on common lawn care challenges every homeowner faces: weeds, grubs and fire ants, watering, and fertilization. Lastly, we want to highlight the knowledge and expertise our technicians provide for all of our customers! The new series will focus on five more common residential lawn care questions. Details on these topics will come soon!

Be sure to check out our Facebook page and YouTube channel for the new releases.

We are expanding

We have reached a new milestone in the growth of our company where we need a bit more space to continue serving all of our loyal customers. We are pleased to announce we will break ground on our new warehouse and headquarters early 2017. So, in light of the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday (and every day for that matter), we would like to send out a “thank you!” to
each of our amazing customers! We couldn’t have done this without the support and continued business of all of our wonderful customers.

We hope everyone has a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving holiday!
